Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.

101   Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity
Observation: Parameters pH, Total Alkalinity were measured and found to be out of the acceptable limit. pH was measured at greater than 8.4 and Total Alkalinity was measured at 136 ppm. Free available chlorine was measured at more than 5 ppm.
Corrective Action: pH must be maintained at between 7.2 to 7.8 and Total Alkalinity must be maintained at between 80 to 120 ppm. The pool was shut down while on site inspection.
204   Inadequate Operator Training
Observation: Operator on site does not appear to have adequate knowledge regarding water chemistry and water maintenance.
Corrective Action: The pool operator's course must be taken and that water must be re-balanced and maintained before the hot tub could be re-opened
208   Improper Maintenance of Records
Observation: Records for water chemistry maintenance was poorly maintained. Some water chemistry parameter such as total alkalinity was omitted.
Corrective Action: Water chemistry and maintenance record must be properly maintained as per the pool regulation. A copy of the pool regulation is provided to the operator.
305   Improper Maintenance of Pool Surface, Walkways, Floors and/or Construction
Observation: Skimmer's weirs were found to be missing.
Corrective Action: Skimmer's weir must be properly installed to effectively remove contaminant from the surface of the water.
306   Improper Handrails, Ladders, and/or Diving Boards
Observation: Handrail was found to be insecured.
Corrective Action: Handrail must be securely fastened.
401   Note Violation
Observation: Hot tub pump was replaced without the obtaining approval of a construction permit
Corrective Action: Specification of the pump and the main drain (including the total size of opening) must be obtained from the supplier be forwarded to the health inspector.
