Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.

Code   Description / Observation / Corrective Action
101   Repeat Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity
Observation: Alkalinity was determined to be 38 mg/L during inspection. This does not meet the regulatory requirement of 80-120 mg/L. Public Health Significance - alkalinity is the capacity to neutralize acids and bases present and therefore buffer the water's pH. Having alkalinity within the regulatory range of 80-120 mg/L will assist the operator in maintaining a relatively stable pH, preventing corrosion (low pH) or scaling (high pH) within the basin as well as irritation of the eyes or skin of patrons.
Corrective Action: Add sodium bicarbonate to the basin until alkalinity is within regulatory requirements. Test alkalinity on a daily basis until operator determines the best course of action to maintain levels of 80-120 mg/L on a consistent basis.
101  Critical Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity
Observation: Free available chlorine (FAC) was measured at 1.00 mg/L during inspection. Regulation requires all pools operating with water above 30 degrees celsius to have a minimum concentration of 1.5 mg/L FAC. Public Health Significance - Adequate concentration of disinfectant in pool water is required to kill disease-causing bacteria - insufficient disinfection of pool water can allow transmission of waterborne diseases.
Corrective Action: Operator increased output of chlorine pumps. Patrons of whirlpool were advised to exit pool until adequate chlorine concentration of pool water was restored. FAC was retested and measured at 1.76 mg/L.
