Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
Code | Description / Observation / Corrective Action |
101 | Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity Observation: According to the pool chemistry logs, the free available chlorine over the past weeks has been between 1 and 2 PPM and the combined chlorine was calculated to be greater than 1.0 PPM. Corrective Action: Safe hot tub chemistry requires the free available chlorine to be between 3 and 5 PPM. When the combined chlorine is above 0.7 PPM, the pool needs to be superchlorinated. |
205 | Improper Monitoring of Chemical Paramaters or Safety Tests Observation: Pool chemistry testing is not conducted twice daily. Currently the pool recirculation equipment is shut down during the week days - water is only circulated in preparation for the weekend and over the weekend. Water chemistry testing is conducted only when the recirculation of water is occurring. Corrective Action: Ensure that the recirculation equipment is not shut off over the course of the week so that the chlorine levels remain between 3 and 5 PPM at all times. Failure to maintain adequate chlorine levels may result in bacteriological contamination in particular Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Only the water heater may be shut off between weekends. Conduct pool chemistry tests twice daily. |
