Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.

Code   Description / Observation / Corrective Action
101   Repeat Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity
Observation: Combined Chlorine is above 1ppm. Elevated levels of combined chlorine can result in strong odour, eye/skin irritation, and decreased chlorine efficacy. pH is above the required range of 7.2-7.8. High pH can result in eye irritation, cloudy water, scale formation, short filter runs, and decreased chlorine efficacy. Total Alkalinity is above the required range of 80-120ppm. high alkalinity can result in pH drift, increased acid demand, scaling, and cloudy water.
Corrective Action: Operator closed the pool to rebalance the water. Operator to provide a plan for addressing the high pH to the Environmental Health Officer by July 4, 2023.
102   Improper Microbiological Pool Water Quality
Observation: The last microbiological test results on file are from April 2023. Microbiological water testing is required on a monthly basis.
Corrective Action: Submit a new sample for microbiological testing or provide the Environmental Health Officer with the most recent test results.
104  Critical Improper Turnover of Flow Rate
Observation: The flow meter of the leisure pool read at 18.95 L/S. The design flow rate for this pool is between 24-29L/S. Pool turnover rate is important for proper filtration. Not cycling enough water through the filters can result in cloudy pool water and water balance issues. The filters for this pool displayed a pressure differential of over 10psi.
Corrective Action: Operator back washed the pool filter.
