Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
Code | Description / Observation / Corrective Action |
101 | Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity Observation: The pool was found to be using stabilized chlorine instead of un-stablized chlorine. Corrective Action: Indoor pool must not use stabilized chlorine as cyanuric acid will build up gradually leading to ineffective disinfection. Cyanuric acid was measured at 33 ppm at the time of the inspection. Operator was told to switch back to unstablized chlorine or calcium hypochlorite. |
305 | Improper Maintenance of Pool Surface, Walkways, Floors and/or Construction Observation: The skimmer's weirs were missing. Corrective Action: All skimmer's weirs must be installed properly to allow proper removal of surface water where most of the contaminants were concentrated. |
306 | Improper Handrails, Ladders, and/or Diving Boards Observation: Handrails at the pool were loose. One of the handrail anchor point was hitting and damaging the pool basin leading to the formation of a carved-in area on the side of the pool basin. Corrective Action: All handrails must be securely installed to prevent entrapment hazard and further deterioration. |
