Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
Code | Description / Observation / Corrective Action |
101 | Critical Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity Observation: Automatic reader on-site indicated that the pH was 7.37 however, pH was manually tested at 8.38 during the inspection. Total alkalinity tested at 46 ppm at time of inspection. Low alkalinity can contribute to pH bounce. Corrective Action: pH must be maintained between 7.2 and 7.8 in order for chlorine to be completely effective. Total alkalinity should be maintained between 80 and 120 ppm. Close the hot tub and have the water drained and re-balanced. Hot tub must remain closed until the proper pool chemistry is maintained. (pH: 7.2 - 7.8, FAC: 1.5 ppm <, Combined chlorine: <1 ppm, Total alkalinity: 80 - 120 ppm) Ensure automatic reader is recording the correct pH and chlorine levels. |
