Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
Code | Description / Observation / Corrective Action |
101 | Critical Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity Observation: pH observed at 6.5 (ideal range 7.2-7.8). (Public Health significance) Low pH can cause rapid drop in chlorine residual, lead to corrosive water and metals, cause Fe and Cu deposition in water, reduces the Total Alkalinity of the water and water becomes irritant to eyes/skin to patrons. Corrective Action: Bring the water pH to the regulatory range (7.2-7.8). Operator can add sodium bicarbonate to bring water to a balanced water chemistry. |
101 | Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity Observation: Total Alkalinity was observed at 53 ppm which is too low, the required range is 120-180 ppm. (Public Health significance) low alkalinity causes the pH to fluctuate which can lead to eye/skin irritation. Corrective Action: Ensure that the total alkalinity is brought to a regulatory range of 80-120 ppm by adding sodium bicarbonate (soda ash). |
