Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.

Code   Description / Observation / Corrective Action
101  Critical Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity
Observation: Pool clarity is poor and the pattern on the main drain cover at the deep end is barely visible. Excessive turbidity can prevent troubled swimmers from being seen and could lead to a drowning hazard.
Corrective Action: Operator to correct pool chemistry to ensure the main drain is clearly visible. High turbidity can also be an indicator of mechanical issues with the pool. Pool should remained voluntarily close while the chemistry issue is being addressed.
205   Repeat Improper Monitoring of Chemical Paramaters or Safety Tests
Observation: pH was measured at 7.89, a re-test showed a pH of 7.82. pH of a pool must be maintain within 7.2 to 7.8 in order for free chlorine disinfection to function properly. pH above or below this range decreases the effectiveness of free chlorine disinfection. Poor disinfection can lead to growth of harmful microbes, leading to illnesses.
Corrective Action: Operator to and adjust pH level to 7.2 to 7.8 range. Pool should remained voluntarily close while the chemistry issue is being addressed. Check and record pH at least twice daily, and ensure equipment is capable of measure pH accurately.
205   Repeat Improper Monitoring of Chemical Paramaters or Safety Tests
Observation: Operator did not record combined chlorine and pH levels twice daily. Combined chlorine concentration indicates when a chlorine shock is necessary in the pool. High levels of combined chlorine and improper pH can cause irritation to swimmers and decrease the effectiveness of disinfection. Proper monitoring of pool chemistry is required to eliminate harmful microbes from the pool.
Corrective Action: Operator to measure free chlorine, pH and combine chlorine twice daily.
305   Improper Maintenance of Pool Surface, Walkways, Floors and/or Construction
Observation: Top of the sand filter was leaking. Filter needs to keep pressure to properly filter out debris and dirt that can cause cloudiness in pool. High turbidity in pool water can result in a drowning hazard for swimmers.
Corrective Action: Operator to repair or replace the leaking sand filter. Filter material should be changed out regularly to maintain effectiveness.
305   Improper Maintenance of Pool Surface, Walkways, Floors and/or Construction
Observation: A large open hole that used to hold underwater lighting is visible at the deep end under the equalizer line. Some metal pieces can be seen in the hole. Swimmers may be caught in or hurt themselves with the hole. This can constitute a physical hazard.
Corrective Action: Operator to seal hole with a smooth finish to ensure pool is safe for swimmers. Operator should ensure the pool is made out of smooth material that would not constitute a hazard.
307   Improper Storage of Chemicals
Observation: Chlorine and acid were stored side by side to each other next to the automatic dispenser. A leak in both these chemicals can result in the formation of dangerous chlorine gas.
Corrective Action: Operator to obtain spill containment pallets or enclosure.
308   Improper Step and/or Depth Markings
Observation: Underwater steps are not marked in contrasting colour. Swimmer may slip on steps they cannot see properly if they are improperly marked. It may lead to injury and drowning hazard.
Corrective Action: Operator to mark underwater steps in contrasting colour.
