Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.

Code   Description / Observation / Corrective Action
101  Critical Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity
Observation: The combined chlorine level in the pool was tested and measured at a concentration of 1.45 ppm. Public Health Significance - Combined chlorine must not exceed 1.0 ppm to prevent odour problems and eye or skin irritation to pool patrons.
Corrective Action: Shock the pool or partially drain the pool water to reduce the combined chlorine level. Monitor and maintain combined chlorine level below 1.0 ppm at all times.
101  Critical Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity
Observation: The alkalinity of the hot tub was tested and measured at 55 ppm during the time of inspection. Public Health Significance - Pool alkalinity must be maintained at a level between 80-120 ppm to prevent the formation of cloudy water as well as prevent dramatic swings in pH.
Corrective Action: Raise and maintain the alkalinity concentration in the hot tub to an acceptable level.
104  Critical Improper Turnover of Flow Rate
Observation: Sand particles altered the movement of the float within the hot tub flow meter at the time of inspection. Public Health Significance - Flow meters must be free of sand particles to obtain an accurate flow measurement to ensure the required number of turnovers are met as per the pool construction requirements. Flow rate meters are also important to ensure that the main drains and skimmers are not suction hazards that could lead to drowning.
Corrective Action: Replace or service the pool flow meter and install so that the required straight pipe before and after the flow rate meter is in accordance with manufacturer requirements. Monitor and clean flow meter on a regular basis.
305   Improper Maintenance of Pool Surface, Walkways, Floors and/or Construction
Observation: Skimmer's weirs were found to be missing. Public Health significance - Weirs are important to prevent debris captured in the skimmer from re-entering the pool.
Corrective Action: Skimmer's weir must be properly installed to effectively remove contaminant from the surface of the water.
401   Note Violation
Observation: Clock was not observed to be in operation at the time of inspection. Public Health Significance - A clock must be in good working order to allow pool patrons to monitor their time spent in hot tubs to prevent heat-related illnesses.
Corrective Action: Replace or add batteries to ensure clock is operational for pool patrons.
