Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.

Code   Description / Observation / Corrective Action
101   Repeat Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity
Observation: Hot tub total alkalinity was measured at 55 ppm. Re-testing resulted in 40 ppm. Regulation requires an alkalinity of 80 ppm to 120 ppm. A low total alkalinity would result in pH bounce, where pH would fluctuate, affecting the disinfection ability of chlorine. Chlorine disinfection is necessary to limit growth of harmful microbes in hot tub.
Corrective Action: Operator to adjust alkalinity so it remains between 80 ppm to 120 ppm. Continue to monitor alkalinity at least once a week.
305   Repeat Improper Maintenance of Pool Surface, Walkways, Floors and/or Construction
Observation: Flow meter was not working at time of inspection. Flow meter is important at providing an accurate flow rate to determine turnover rate, backwash schedule and identify any circulation problem with the pool. Proper turnover and backwashing is essential to filter out contamination in the pool and prevent growth of harmful microbials.
Corrective Action: Installed functioning flowmeter.
