Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
Code | Description / Observation / Corrective Action |
101 | Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity Observation: The average Alkalinity levels of the pool water is measured at 48 PPM. Alkalinity is a measure of carbonate and bicarbonate in the water which help the pool water resist rapid changes in pH. Corrective Action: Operator to test daily atleast once and balance the pool water alkalinity by adding sodium bicarbonate. |
101 | Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity Observation: The chemical testing for the pool was performed, a total of 2 samples were taken at the two opposite sides of the pool. All the two samples revealed an average of high combine chlorine (greater then 1 PPM) with an average of 2.3 ppm Corrective Action: Combined chlorine levels above 1 ppm can cause skin and eye irritation, dryness, and itchiness. Additionally, it can lead to respiratory problems when the chlorine is inhaled in the form of vapour or mist and skin issues in pool patrons. The operator shut down the pool immediately and will be shock chlorinating it to bring down the combined chlorine levels. |
