This facility is currently under a Boil Water Notice
 Underlying Problems: -Adverse water result received from the sampling site ‘6364 Pinecrest Road Tap’ (53 total coliforms, background 78 and less than 1 E. coli).
-Operator’s residence is equipped with 30 micron filter, 5 micron filter, water softener and RO unit. Tenant’s house is not equipped with any treatment. Sample collected was raw, untreated water to show the water quality supplying the tenant’s residence. | |
| Steps Taken to Remedy: -Operators have initiated the Boil Water Notice procedure outlined in the Emergency Response Plan for the facility.
-Water system supplies operator’s residence and their tenant’s residence located at 8568 Kroeker Road. Operator has notified all water users and both tenants and operators are supplied with bottled water to drink and use for food preparation. Boil Water Notice signs have been posted. | |
| Corrective Actions Remaining: -Re-sample from the sampling site ‘6364 Pinecrest Road Tap’ to be collected and submitted to Northern Health on February 3, 2020 following proper sampling procedure.
-Pending the re-sample results, determine the cause of the high total coliform count at ‘6364 Pinecrest Road Tap’ and take the appropriate steps to resolve this issue.
-As the adverse water sample was collected without prior flushing or sanitizing of the tap, the high total coliform count may be due to improper sampling technique. |
