Underlying Problems: Unsatisfactory water sample result. Underlying cause unknown and being investigated, although it can be due to recent maintenance on their pressure tank and filters. | |
Steps Taken to Remedy: 1) Operator determined recent maintenance of the pressure tank and filter could have caused the total coliform results. This is not confirmed and underlying status of the system is still unknown. 2) Operator will supply the camp with bottled water and post signage on each water outlet | |
Corrective Actions Remaining: 1) Operator must determine if there has been any damage, non-functioning equipment, or failures in the water system. The operator must report the findings to the Environmental Health Officer (EHO). 2) The operator must report the status and current schematics of the water system to the EHO. 3) Operator to shock chlorinate the well. Instructions were provided. 4) Operator to resample the water after one week. The water sample must show absence of total coliforms and E.coli. Two samples are required to remove the boil water notice and they must be taken at least 24 hours apart. |
