Sample from 2020 showed manganese concentration of 1.960mg/l. The maximum acceptable concentration for manganese per the Guidelines for Canadian Drinking Water Quality is 0.12 mg/l. Corrective Action: Consult with a drinking water treatment professional and submit a written proposal in the form of a construction permit application for manganese treatment to reduce the manganese concentration to less than the maximum acceptable concentration. Install treatment system upon receiving Northern Health approval in the form of construction permit. OR Propose an alternate source of water with treatment as necessary to meet the Guidelines for Canadian Drinking Water Quality and the Northern Health treatment objectives. |
