Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.

Code   Description / Observation / Corrective Action
316   Source unprotected and subject to contamination
Observation: Well cap on the North Well #1 is broken.
Corrective Action: Well cap requires repair in order that the well casing be fly-tight. A fly-tight well cover is essential to ensure that groundwater is not contaminated by entry of insects or small rodents.
317   Inadequate or improper construction of water works
Observation: Grade is not mounded up to well casings.
Corrective Action: It is important to slope impermeable soil (clay-type soil) up to the casing so as to prevent contaminated surface waters from reaching the casing and flowing down the outside of the casing and entering the well. This is a special concern during spring snowmelt, heavy rain, or during a flood threat.
318  Critical Inadequate Microbiological Analysis data
Observation: Bacteriological sampling regime is less than required by Operating Permit.
Corrective Action: Bacteriological sampling required a week before startup each season, and minimum quarterly throughout the operating season, from locations that are representative of the distribution system, as approved by the Environmental Health Officer.
