A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.

Code   Description / Observation / Corrective Action
313   Inadequate treatment
Observation: Water source is considered ground-water under the direct influence of surface water (GUDI). Inadequate treatment for pathogenic protozoa such as giardia and cryptosporidium.
Corrective Action: Please submit a construction permit application to our office by October 31, 2017. Design brief must include general timelines for installation of components. Include specifications of new contact chamber, pump, filter, and other treatment devices.
313  Critical Inadequate treatment
Observation: Inadequate chlorine concentration measured after the reservoir (contact chamber). No other method of disinfection for a groundwater source, which is under the direct influence of surface water. Free available chlorine (FAC) measured 0.03ppm. Chlorine concentrate that supplies the hypochlorinator is empty.
Corrective Action: Notify users immediately that the water is not potable. Post Boil Water Notices immediately. Refill chlorine concentrate vat. When FAC concentration measures at least 0.5ppm, without exceeding 1.0ppm, you may remove Boil Water Notices. Inform local Environmental Health Officer immediately, once levels have returned to normal. Chlorination is a critical component to your water treatment system. Free available chlorine should be measured and recorded daily.
