Observation: Two consecutive water sample results are positive for total coliforms. Flood waters were present in close proximity to the well.
Corrective Action: Boil Water Notice is in effect.

Observation: Shallow well located in floodplain, no treatment provided.
Corrective Action: A treatment/disinfection system is required. Obtain a Construction Permit from the Public Health Engineer prior to making any changes to the water system. A Construction Permit application package is attached for review.
316   Source unprotected and subject to contamination
Observation: Well lid is not fly-tight.
Corrective Action: Obtain a fly-tight well cover to help ensure pests are not able to enter into the well.

Observation: Grade is not sloped up to the well.
Corrective Action: Slope soil (impermeable) up to the well casing in an effort to divert surface water away from the well.
