311 | Critical Other (specify below) Observation: Manganese had been tested to be higher than the maximum allowable concentration (MAC) of 0.12 mg/L as per the Guideline for Canadian Drinking Water Quality in the Gantahaz Subdivision. Testing conducted at Well #4 (2021 and 2022) reported exceedance of the MAC (0.12mg/L and 0.145mg/L). Testing conducted at Well #1 (2021 and 2022) showed satisfactory levels. Corrective Action: Operator to continue utilize Well #1 as the primary well to dilute water contributed by Well #4 inside the reservoir. Chemical water testing to be conducted on a quarterly basis to test for parameters including Manganese at all the identified sampling locations. Operator to work with Northern Health on issuing a Water Quality Advisory. This will include public notification. |
