Observation: Poor quality source water, high organic content.
Corrective Action: Investigate treatment options for this source or investigate alternate water sources. An enhanced method of treatment prior to chlorination is required for this source. Obtain a Construction Permit prior to making any major changes to the system. Construction Permits can be obtained from Northern Health's Public Health Engineer. A Construction Permit application package is attached for your interest.
313   Inadequate treatment
Observation: Concentration of free available chlorine is measured to be 0.06ppm in the distribution system. Concentration of total chlorine is measured to be 0.2ppm.
Corrective Action: Concentration of free available chlorine should be maintained at a minimum of 0.2ppm throughout the distribution system. At this time, maintain a minimum total chlorine residual of 0.5ppm.
