Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.

Code   Description / Observation / Corrective Action
313  Critical Inadequate treatment
Observation: The current treatment for this system is not sufficient to meet surface water treatment objectives, or to inactivate chlorine-resistant pathogens such as Giardia or Cryptosporidium. A boil water notice remains in effect for this system.
Corrective Action: The boil water notice must continue to be followed. All water users need to be aware of the risk posed by insufficient water treatment. Water intended for consumption, brushing teeth, making ice, food preparation, making baby formula or intended for pets, needs be brought to a rolling boil for one minute before use. In the long term, a plan to provide all water users with potable water needs to be developed. The Environmental Health Officer will follow-up with KLWUC members to discuss developing a plan.
318   Inadequate Microbiological Analysis data
Observation: No routine bacteriological samples have been submitted for the water system since October 2012. The operating permit for this system requires that monthly samples be submitted.
Corrective Action: Confirm which properties are on the Fir Bluff Water System. Complementary water testing can then be arranged to test post-treated water at properties on this system, and identify if Total Coliform Bacteria or E. coli are present.
319   Inadequate Chemical Analysis Data
Observation: The most recent water chemistry data on file is from 2011. The operating permit for this system requires that monthly samples be submitted every 5 years
Corrective Action: Submit data from the most chemical analysis for review.
