Observation: Water source is considered to be surface water (Kitimat River). Water is treated with one form of treatment (gas chlorination).
Corrective Action: Consult and investigative feasibility of meeting provincial drinking water treatment objectives (4-3-2-1-0). District of Kitimat actively working with Northern Health to assess and implement water system improvements.

Observation: An Annual Report has not been provided to users or Northern Health.
Corrective Action: As outlined in Section 15 (b) water systems must submit an annual report to their users. Additionally Section 11 of the Drinking Water Protection Regulation (DWPR) stipulates that this report must be published within 6 months of the end of a calendar year.
