Observation: The lid of Cistern #4 observed not secured. This could result in airborne contamination of drinking water.
Corrective Action: Ensure that lids of drinking water storage tangs are properly secured to prevent potential contamination.

Observation: Bacteriological samples are not being consistently submitted on a monthly basis as per the drinking water permit requirements. Moreover, samples are not being submitted prior to reopening a camp. The last time samples were submitted was in December 2016.
Corrective Action: Ensure that water samples are consistently submitted bacteriological analysis every month and prior to opening the camp. Failure to do so violates the Public Health Act, Drinking Water Protection and Food Premises Regulations and could result in revocation of Water and Food permits, fines or closures.
