Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.

Code   Description / Observation / Corrective Action
308  Critical Contamination of finished water - Mains
Observation: Two consecutive water sample results (July 17 and 25) showed the presence of coliform bacteria (no E.coli).
Corrective Action: Free Available Chlorine measured 0.32ppm leaving the treatment room and 0.14ppm at Trailer #7. These concentrations should adequately kill E.coli. Presence of coliform bacteria may be due to increased bacterial load or turbidity in source water during summer months. Recommend increasing chlorine residuals to 0.5ppm (upto 1.0ppm) at the end of line during warmer months: June - Sept, inclusively. A second form on treatment, such as UV, if properly maintained and instailled will inactivate coliform bacteria and present a second barrier to protect finished water. Another sample must be submitted on August 14 or 15, 2017.
313   Inadequate treatment
Observation: Water treatment does not meet Provincial 4-3-2-1-0 Guidelines for surface water sources. Cryptosporidium and Giardia can not be adequately treated using chlorine as the only form of treatment.
Corrective Action: Treatment that effectively removes/kills/inactivates Giardia and Cryptosporidium by 3 log reduction is required. Obtain a construction permit from Northern Health before installing. Operator estimates completion on or before August 2022.
