320 | Other (specify below) Observation: Elevated level of manganese identified by routine sampling for chemical/physical parameters. Sample from 2020 showed manganese concentration of 1.960mg/l. Sample collected in May 2022 shows concentration of 2.0mg/l. The maximum acceptable concentration for manganese per the Guidelines for Canadian Drinking Water Quality is 0.12mg/l. Drinking water treatment specialist has been contracted to assess the drinking water system and propose treatment upgrades. Corrective Action: Submit a written proposal in the form of a construction permit application for treatment to reduce the manganese concentration to below the maximum acceptable concentration. Install treatment upon receiving Northern Health approval in the form of a construction permit. |
