313   Inadequate treatment
Observation: The treatment system, which is limited to chlorination, does not meet the performance targets of the Drinking Water Treatment Objectives (Microbiological) for Surface Water Supplies in BC (Surface Water Treatment Objectives).
Corrective Action: In accordance with conditions attached to the operating permit for this water system, by December 31, 2023 an Application for Waterworks Construction Permit must be submitted to a Public Health Engineer for Northern Health for a proposed treatment system that will meet the performance targets of the Surface Water Treatment Objectives and after receipt of a construction permit, the accepted works must be constructed and commissioned by March 31, 2025.
313   Inadequate treatment
Observation: The results of general chemical analyses indicate distributed water is corrosive and a sampling program conducted by the water supplier shows this is causing lead and copper to be leached from older plumbing components in residences on private property. Corrosive water could also shorten the life span of components of this water system.
Corrective Action: The water supplier shall maintain information on lead & copper in drinking water on their website, and in accordance with conditions attached to the operating permit for this water system, by December 31, 2023 an Application for Waterworks Construction Permit must be submitted to a Public Health Engineer for Northern Health for a proposed treatment system that will reduce the corrosivity of the distributed water and after receipt of a construction permit, the accepted works must be constructed and commissioned by March 31, 2025.

Observation: Cable Car Reservoir has a small leak in the northern corner on the north-east side.
Corrective Action: Leak must be repaired to help ensure the integrity of the reservoir is maintained and to protect drinking water from contamination.
