Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.

Code   Description / Observation / Corrective Action
317   Inadequate or improper construction of water works
Observation: a) Grade is not mounded up to the well casing. b) Well is located within 6 metres (20') of a building, contrary to Section 42 of the Sanitary Regulations.
Corrective Action: a) It is important to slope impermeable soil (clay-type soil) away from the well so as to prevent contaminated surface waters from reaching the well casing and infiltrating the well. This is a special concern during spring snowmelt or heavy rain. b) The Sanitary Regulation, Section 42, requires that wells be a minimum of 6 metres from a building to protect the well from spills, leaks or other contamination. Care is required to not store items in this structure near the well, that may be a risk to the water system. Please ensure that this area is kept free from materials/substances that could possibly present a risk to the water source.
