| 312 | Interruption of treatment Observation: At the time of the inspection, the UV system in the well shed was not plugged in. Operator indicated that it was most likely turned off to facilitate high pressure cleaning. It was plugged in and there were no warning lights for the bulbs. Without the UV on, the water will not receive disinfection and could potentially cause disease. Corrective Action: Always leave the UV system on otherwise there is no disinfection of the water prior to the distribution system. Find an alternative option of high pressure cleaning. |
| 318 | Inadequate Microbiological Analysis data Observation: Infrequent sampling for bacteria in water. Last sample submitted in August 2022. Frequent testing of the drinking water can detect any harmful bacteria in the water, or provide evidence of disinfection malfunction. Without frequent testing, bacteria can contaminated the water supply and cause illness to water users. Corrective Action: Submit samples once a month as outlined in the conditions of the water permit. |
