Observation: - The well cap was not secure at the time of the inspection. This can allow unintended entry of any water, persons or animals, which can potentially contaminate the drinking water source.
Corrective Action: - Ensure well cap is secure and not be easily removed when lifted up. *Operator said that the well cap will be secure shortly after the inspection.
317   Inadequate or improper construction of water works
Observation: - Grade was not mounded up to the well casing at the time of inspection.
Corrective Action: - Ensure an impermeable material (clay-type soil) is sloped up to the well casing. this is to prevent well contamination from surface water infiltration. *Correct by the end of September 2012. **Operator to email photographs of impermeable material sloped away from well casing.
