Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.

Code   Description / Observation / Corrective Action
313  Critical Inadequate treatment
Observation: The UV system (Trojan Max Pro 20) is unplugged and not in use. When plugged in, the UV system alarms and cannot effectively treat the water. Without the UV system, the only form of treatment for this water system is chlorination. As the source is a shallow well, supplied by the Bulkley River, two forms of effective treatment are required to meet the BC Treatment Objectives. Currently, the Bulkley Field & Stream Water System is not meeting the BC Treatment Objectives.
Corrective Action: The Boil Water Notice, issued on June 10, 2022, remains in effect. Hire a water treatment specialist to assess the water system and propose a treatment method that will meet the provincial treatment objectives. This may result in repairing the UV system or installing another form of treatment altogether. Submit a completed Application for Waterworks Construction Permit to Northern Health for review. Before any work is conducted on the water system, a Construction Permit must be issued by the public health engineer.
