Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
Code | Description / Observation / Corrective Action |
320 | Other (specify below) Observation: Chlorine residual concentration was not maintained above 0.2ppm at all times. (Public Health significance) - Absence of low chlorine residual level in drinking water could allow bacterial growth, such as Legionella, potentially leading to waterborne illnesses. Operator is manually calculating and adding chlorine to storage tanks, which is resulting in the chlorine residual being inconsistently maintained. Corrective Action: Operator to ensure water's chlorine residual in the distribution system is maintained at 0.2ppm - 4ppm at all times. It is strongly recommended to install an automatic chlorine system. Submit a construction permit application with a proposed system for review. Upon reciept of construction permit, system can be installed. |
