317   Inadequate or improper construction of water works
Observation: A new drinking water system(Cisterns) was built and is in-use without obtaining approval to build such a system and secure operating permit from Northern Health. BC's Drinking water protection act requires that no drinking water system is installed prior to receiving approval to build such a system.
Corrective Action: Ensure that a water works construction permit and water system application for cisterns are submitted using the application forms emailed.
318   Inadequate Microbiological Analysis data
Observation: Bacteriological water samples are not being submitted monthly as required. This is one of the operating permit conditions. Failure to submit samples could result in fines.
Corrective Action: Ensure that water samples are submitted monthly. This must be complied with immediately
319   Inadequate Chemical Analysis Data
Observation: Chemical analysis data is not being submitted every three years as required. The last data submitted is dated 2010.
Corrective Action: Ensure that water sample is submitted for chemical analysis through an approved private laboratory. This must be complied with immediately.
