Observation: Two recent consecutive water samples results have been positive for total coliforms. This indicates that the treatment system is not working properly.
Corrective Action: Ensure concentration of free available chlorine in the distribution system is being monitored on a routine basis. Ensure that a minimum concentration of 0.2ppm free available chlorine is present in the distribution system at all times.
313   Inadequate treatment
Observation: Concentration of free chlorine at the pumphouse is measured to be 0.04ppm.
Corrective Action: A minimum of 0.2ppm free chlorine is required to be present in the distribution system at all times to help ensure the water is being adequately treated. To be corrected immediately. ** A more precise chlorine test kit may be necessary. Examples of more precise test kits are attached.
