Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.

Code   Description / Observation / Corrective Action
312  Critical Interruption of treatment
Observation: Alarm for UV system was on during inspection, indicating that the unit was not functioning properly.
Corrective Action: Replace or fix UV system so that it is operating properly.
313   Inadequate treatment
Observation: Chlorine residual at kitchen sink was measured at 0.11 ppm; permit conditions requires a minimum chlorine residual of 0.5 ppm to ensure adequate residual disinfectant.
Corrective Action: Adjust how much chlorine is added and/or retention time to ensure that chlorine residual remains above 0.5 ppm. Measure chlorine residual on a daily basis during camp season and maintain a residual log. Distribution lines may need to be flushed and/or shock chlorinated to control biological growth.
317   Inadequate or improper construction of water works
Observation: Bypass valves are not locked off, and could be accidently engaged leading to nonpotable water entering the distribution system.
Corrective Action: Ensure that bypass valves cannot be accidently engaged e.g., zip-tied
317   Inadequate or improper construction of water works
Observation: UV system does not have a flow restrictor to ensure optimal dosage of UV light to the drinking water, or an automatic shut-off solenoid valve that shuts off the water supply in the event that the UV system is not operating properly.
Corrective Action: Install flow restrictor and solenoid valve for UV system.
319   Inadequate Chemical Analysis Data
Observation: Water chemistry has not been provided to Northern Health. Public Health significance - drinking water can contain hazardous chemicals that do not alter taste or smell, and can only be determined if safe to drink by an accredited laboratory.
Corrective Action: Contact CALA accredited laboratory for chemical analysis of post-treatment (before reverse osmosis) drinking water and provide report to Northern Health.
