Observation: Ice machine in lobby area has some buildup of mould/grime. Ice cream scoops near ice cream freezer observed to have buildup of dried ice cream.
Corrective Action: Clean the indicated areas immediately.
302  Critical Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)]
Observation: Dish washer available chlorine concentration was measured at approximately 20 ppm at time of inspection.
Corrective Action: Chlorine sanitizer concentration should be at 50 ppm minimum for automatic dish washing to ensure that dish ware is being sanitized adequately. Operator was informed to switch the chlorine sanitizer bucket during inspection.Chlorine test strips were given to operator. Purchase further test strips as sanitizer levels for the dish washer should be monitored on a regular basis. A final sanitizing step for dish washing is to be conducted in the three compartment sink until the dish washer has been operating to be working as required.
305   Conditions observed that may allow entrance/harbouring/breeding of pests [s. 26(b),(c)]
Observation: Oil container at back of kitchen was observed to be leaking at time of inspection. Potential bear paw prints were observed near the area. Oil container appears to have been potentially damaged from bear activity. Uncovered oil may attract pest activity.
Corrective Action: Replace or repair container to prevent leakage of oil from occurring. Ensure that staff are emptying oil into the container without excessive spillage.

Observation: Ventilation grating at back of kitchen was broken off and allows for potential entry of pests into the building.
Corrective Action: Repair the grate.

Observation: Weather strips for both back doors are significantly worn down and allow for entry of small pests through into the premises.
Corrective Action: Replace the weather strips for the back doors. Ensure that there is no light leaking through the door entryways to the outside.
311   Premises not maintained as per approved plans [s. 6(1)(b)]
Observation: Sewage odor was present in certain areas of the facility in and around the kitchen. Able to identify one source at time of inspection emanating from inside of a furnace room.
Corrective Action: Consult with staff or contracted septic system maintenance on source of sewage odor. Ensure that no sewage backup is occurring throughout the facility.
311   Repeat Premises not maintained as per approved plans [s. 6(1)(b)]
Observation: One light fixture in kitchen area (baking area) is missing a cover. Cover for a second light is not secure and may still result in potential damage to the light and physical contamination of the kitchen area.
Corrective Action: Ensure that all light fixtures located in food preparation and storage areas are equipped with light covers.
