Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.

Code   Description
502  Critical Improper Wastewater Collection/Disposal
Observation: The current holding tank installation does not adhere to Northern Health's Holding Tank Planning and Installation Guidelines. The current holding tank capacity is only 2050 gallons (18 rooms available for crew = minimum 5000 gallon holding tank capacity) and no alarms or water meter have been installed.
Corrective Action: By September 5, 2017, replace the current holding tank set up with a CAN/CSA B66 approved prefabricated holding tank(s) that achieves the minimum 5000 gallon holding capacity. In addition, by this date, install a water meter (connected on the main line that supplies all the plumbing fixtures inside the buildings) and a visible alarm activated at 75% capacity and an audible alarm with water shut-off activated at 90% capacity - EHO to provide a copy of the Guidelines for further details.
502  Critical Improper Wastewater Collection/Disposal
Observation: Holding tanks have been installed without conducting a leak test. At the time of inspection, as the holding tanks are set up in series (1025 Gallons --> 1025 Gallons), the seal around the outlet connection of the first tank was slowly leaking domestic sewage onto the ground. Discharge of domestic sewage to ground is considered to be a health hazard.
Corrective Action: The sewage hauler was on their way to immediately pump out the holding tanks. Once the holding tanks have been pumped out, immediately apply a silicone seal to all connections into and out of the holding tanks to prevent leaking at these locations. Apply lime to the affected areas which were exposed to the leaking domestic sewage.
