Observation: A food premise observed being operated without an operating permit. This violates BC's Food Premises Regulation and could result in fines.
Corrective Action: Ensure that a valid operating permit is obtained prior to preparing and serving food to customers.
209   Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
Observation: Scoops without a handle observed being used for dry ingredients. This could lead to hands touching food and result in contamination.
Corrective Action: Ensure that only scoops with a handle are used to scoop food ingredients
212   Operator has not provided acceptable written food handling procedures [s. 23]
Observation: No written food safety plan was available for review during inspection.
Corrective Action: Ensure that a food safety plan is prepared and submitted for review.
309   Chemicals, cleansers, & similar agents stored or labeled improperly [s. 27]
Observation: Spray bottle of clear liquid observed without label. Unlabelled chemicals could be used for a purpose that they are not intended for.
Corrective Action: Ensure that all chemicals taken out of their original containers are properly labelled to identify their contents.

Observation: There was no written sanitation plan during inspection.
Corrective Action: Ensure that daily, weekly and monthly sanitation plans are available and used.
501   Operator does not have FOODSAFE Level 1 or Equivalent [s. 10(1)]
Observation: A person in charge did not have an up-to-date food safety certificate during inspection.
Corrective Action: A person in charge who has Level 1 FOODSAFE training must be on at all times the establishment is in operation. Food safety certificates must be renewed every 5 years.
