(Public Health significance) - Scoop handles must be kept free from the product to prevent hand contact and contamination. Corrective Action: Operator removed the scoop and put it in the sink to be washed immediately. Ensure that the scoop is stored so that the handle is kept free from the product. |
302 | Critical Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)] Observation: (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) Bottle labelled as "sanitizer" contained a product for cleaning that does not have an active sanitizing property. (Public Health Significance) Cleaning and sanitizing are not interchangeable terms. Cleaning solutions will remove grease and debris. A sanitizing solution is needed to destroy bacteria on surfaces. Corrective Action: Operator created an appropriate bleach based sanitizing solutions with 200ppm concentration. Operator also relabeled the cleaning solution as "cleaner". |
