Observed children during lunch time , afternoon rest and free play ( Quiet Activities )
Daycare operates from a church , due to service in the foyer shades were drawn during lunch to create privacy for both the child care program and those attending the service , suggest adjusting the lighting levels within the room as it appeared poorly lit during lunch.
Observed a napping mat within the room used to store equipment and furnishings, manager included that 1 child may require at times a separate space to rest and the family is in support of this, a staff remains in the room with the child when in use therefore the child however the manager supports the recommendation to ensure the room is set up to reflect its purpose of use.
A new storage shed is being installed , current shed has served the program for many years. Outdoor area is inspected regularly.
