NOTE: Facility is not being used consistently. Facility is currently rented out for groups. Groups bring in own dishes/serving ware and are responsible for own clean up. Facility used to employ a chef (prior to the pandemic) however due to operational challenges the facility has moved away from this model. The City of Burnaby is determining future of facility - potential for Chef to return. Ensure Chef contacts Fraser Health with Menu, Copy of FOODSAFE level one Certification and to discuss cleaning facility and disposal of old products currently stored in dry storage area.

NOTE: *** Ensure directions for use of dishwasher is posted near dishwasher or included in a binder for operation of kitchen. As currently the facility is not used community centre staff are not used to using dishwasher daily nor are they trained on its operation. For Routine inspections the operation of the equipment needs to be inspected therefore an operations manual or posted instructions are recommended for the kitchen.
