304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)] Observation: The back storage area had house flies accumulating over the boxes of whole fruits. Fruit flies were noted around the dishwashing sink area. The facility's pest control report did not address the fly infestation. Corrective Action(s): Contact the pest control company to address the fly infestation. Routine inspection conducted. Facility is in satisfactory sanitary condition. Temperatures: Walk-in cooler was holding peeled garlic, eggs, and milk, at temperatures below 4 degrees Celsius. The cooler is primarily for whole fruits and vegetables. Retail glass cooler was holding food at temperatures below 4 degrees Celsius. Freezers are functional. NOTE: maintain a log for recording temperatures regularly. Sanitation: 2-compartment sink is equipped with plugs. Bleach is available. 200 ppm chlorine residual solution was available in spray bottles. Hand washing sink is equipped with hot and cold running water, liquid soap, and single use paper towels. NOTE: keep a garbage bin closer to the sink for easy disposal of paper towels. Pest control reports reviewed on site. *see violation above* Tin cats were empty. Dry storage area was organized and clear of clutter. Report discussed with the owner on site.
