208 - Foods obtained from unapproved sources [s. 11] Observation: Salted eggs in display cooler do not appear to be from an approved source based on the packaging. Name and barcode are the only information available and supplier could not be verified during inspection. Some egg product manufacturer's were found by Fraser Health to be operating illegally. - Later in the inspection, the assistant manager provided a copy of the receipt for the salted eggs and it noted that "Better value Eggs Ltd" was listed on it. This company does not have health approval. Corrective Action(s): Do not sell this product if it is from an unapproved source. Provide health officer information regarding the source of the salted eggs. All foods must be purchased from an approved source. Foods in general need a proper label if they have been manufactured from a different location. -Discard and do not sell the salted eggs that are from an unapproved source. Health officer will follow up with the company that is provided these eggs without health approval. Violation Score: 3
