Locking devices on the windows:
- The writer met with the maintenance staff and it is also documented in the environmental audit on a quarterly basis that "windows are secured if necessary for health and safety..." and compliance was achieved.
Oral care plans:
- A random review of three oral care plans indicated that the oral care plans were in-place.
Recreation care plans:
- A random review of three recreation care plans indicated that the recreation care plans were in-place.
Care flow sheets:
- A random review indicated overall charting has improved for example for "mouth inspection", however there are still some gaps noted. In discussion with the Manager/Director of Care and Clinical Care Coordinator the care flow sheets in the binders are audited on a monthly basis by the Clinical Care Coordinator. In addition, this was discussed at previous staff meetings (e.g., June 29, 2018) as discussed with the Clinical Care Coordinator. The Clinical Care Coordinator also stated if gaps are noted then follow-up occurs with the staff and also noted in the performance appraisal, if charting doesn't occur. It appears from the follow-up to this item that there is a plan to address this on an on-going basis. No further follow-up by Community Care Facilities Licensing is required to this item.
Thank you for taking the time to complete all the items from the routine inspection report. If there are any questions related to this report, please contact your Licensing Officer. |
