Introduction

An unannounced follow-up inspection was completed today. The inspection is in response to contraventions identified at the routine inspection #CLAN-CF9SS5

Contraventions

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11010 - CCLR s.13(1) - A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation: During the inspection the following was observed:
-The cubbies were not secured to the wall and were easy to move. This was not corrected by the date specified on the routine inspection. This is a repeat contravention
-The lock on the window was broken. If the window is opened there is no way to limit the window opening. This could present a potential hazard. Window limiters were recommended for use. This was corrected during the inspection.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure a healthy and safe environment is provided to the children at all times.

Comments

At the inspection dated February 16, 2023 there were 8 children, two staff and the Manager was present. At this inspection the above noted contraventions were identified. Please correct the above noted contraventions by February 23, 2023 , unless otherwise specified in the report.

The following was discussed at the inspection:
-The plan that is in place for maintaining the outdoor fence
-Ensuring nothing blocks the exit to the facility
