Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were inspected for compliance.

Observed Violations
PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11010 - CCLR s.13(1) - A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation: Licensing observed electrical cords for the heater out in open in the Preschool classroom
Corrective Action(s): Ensure that safe environment is provided at all times.

Summary of Inspection:
ยท At the inspection dated January 10, 2024 there were 16 children, 8 staff and the mamager present. At this inspection above noted contraventions were identified.

Ensure that cupboards and drawers in the classrooms are kept locked after each use.
