Equipment/facilities/hot & cold water for sanitary maintenance not adequate [s. 17(3); s. 4(1)(f)]
Observation: Hot running water was not available for sanitary maintenance and it was not available at the 2-compartment sink units at the time of inspection.
Correction: Ensure repairs are made to enable access to hot running water at each sink and dishwasher. Public Health Act Closure Order was issued at the time of inspection.

Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
Observation: Hot running water was not available at the handsinks at the time of inspection.
Correction: Ensure repairs are made to enable hot running water is available at each handsink to enable proper handwashing. Staff informed that a technician is scheduled to arrive tomorrow to replace a part for the hot water tank. Public Health Act Closure Order was issued.
Comments

Follow up inspection:
-Public Health Act Closure Order was rescinded as the conditions on it have been met.
-Hot running water (above 45 degrees C) was available at the 2-compartment sink and handsinks.
-Operator informed that a plumber had replaced the hot water tank. It was reviewed that the facility is required to be supplied with hot running water during all hours of operation.
-Prep. cooler across the cook line had been re-serviced and it was at or below 4 degrees C (2.2 degrees C for the lower component and 1.9 degrees C for the upper component).
-Prep. cooler was equipped with a thermometer.
-No hot-holding was occurring at the time of inspection.
-100 ppm chlorine sanitizer was available inside two sanitizer pails.
-Dishwasher final rinse sanitizer chlorine residual was at least 50 ppm at the plate level.
-Chlorine test strips were available on-site.
-Operator has valid FOODSAFE Level 1 course training (expiration date: February 18, 2025).
-Food storage areas in a clean condition at the time of inspection.
-Permit to operate was posted in a conspicuous location.
