The Manager copied the writer on an e-mail on February 20, 2018 regarding their follow-up with BC Housing to address the hot water temperature as when they measured it was over 49 degrees Celsius. During the writer's inspection, the BC Housing Technician called the house and they will be coming the afternoon of February 20, 2018 or tomorrow to address the hot water temperature being higher than 49 degrees Celsius.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure all sinks, showers/tubs accessible to / used by the persons in care are maintained at 49 degrees Celsius.
Date to be Corrected: Please provide a written response to this item by the response timeline noted in this report.

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES: 33230 - RCR s.85(1)(b) - A licensee must do all of the following: (b) review and, if necessary, revise the policies and procedures at least once each year.
Observation: When the writer was at another of the Licensee's homes for an inspection on February 14, 2018 and a discussion took place with the Manager of Home Living and the writer was advised on the computerized system where the policies and procedures are kept for example the Nutrition and Menu Planning Policy had not been reviewed and/or revised (i.e., no date noted as to this being updated). The writer followed-up after that inspection with the Licensee Contact to get an update on review and/or revision of policies and procedures required by the Residential Care Regulation.

During the inspection at 20A Avenue, the Manager contacted the Licensee Contact as well to get an update on where things are at with review and/or revision of the policies and procedures.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure all policies and procedures required by the Residential Care Regulation are reviewed and/or revised once a year and the current date of review/revision is reflected accordingly.
Date to be Corrected: Please provide a written response to this item by the response timeline noted in this report.
