*General sanitation very good throughout store. No evidence of pest issues observed during inspection.
*Temperature of walk-in coolers and walk-in freezer in back of store satisfactory. Temperatures are on an electronic alarm system.
*All cooler and freezer temperatures throughout remainder of store satisfactory.
*All food stored off the floor and protected from contamination. Chemicals stored in designated aisles/areas.
*Hot holding unit for whole chickens measured at or above 60 C.
*Soup hot holding units measured at or above 60 C.
*Waste/cardboard collection areas, as well as receiving areas in back of store, kept in satisfactory sanitary condition.
*Produce area sinks in working order. Quat sanitizer available at 200ppm for surface sanitizing.
*Hand sinks available and in working order in produce area; liquid soap, warm water and paper towels available.
*Tongs/scoops provided at bulk bin stations and self-serve bakery areas. Lids present on bulk bins.
*Random selection of baby foods and nutritional supplements checked were within expiry dates.
*Canned products generally observed to be in good condition.
*Fruit cutting area: cut items stored at satisfactory refrigeration temperature. Presses, knives and cutting implements stored in clean condition. Ensure fruits and vegetables are thoroughly washed and rinsed prior to cutting (especially cantaloupes and other items with rough skins).
