Routine inspection. No changes to ownership.
Currently providing the following services by appointment only: Eyebrow tinting and Eyelash Extensions.
No longer providing microblading services.
Eyebrow tinting:
- Tints are properly labelled "For Professional Use ONLY".
- The glass container used to mix brow tints is washed and disinfected after each use using a high level disinfectant.
- Tint applicators, gauze pads, etc. are all single use only (disposed of after each client).
Eyelash extensions:
- Hand sink in room.
- Technician (KN) has training certificates (required). Training involved practicing on clients and instruction.
- Glue has labelling in english For Professional Use, keep away from children and minor warning.
- ***See Health Canada labelling requirements for cyanoacrylate glues.
- Reviewed some of the first aid requirements regarding glues.
- Tweezers are semi critical items and are cleaned and then disinfected with a high level disinfectant.
- Eye immobilizer/ gel pad, mascara wand, and other items used for lash extension services are single use (disposed of after each client).
General:
- Room is for single technician/ single client only. It is not set up for multiple clients or service providers.
- Hand washing sink has hot/cold water under pressure, liquid soap, and paper towels.
- ***Provide a dispenser for the paper towels.
- Reviewed conditions for hand sink. This sink can also be used to wash tweezers and implements (limited volume of items).
- Reviewed use of high level disinfectant (undiluted, 14 day re-use, and implements to be dry prior to disinfecting).
- No towels or linens. Bed is disinfected with a disinfecting wipe between clients.
- Floor is washable.
