Report of Findings
Community Care Facilities Licensing (CCFL) received information that the care being provided at this address may require a Community Care Facility Licence.

Licensing Officers were onsite on May 12, 2022, where the operator confirmed that they provide care to 5 children unrelated to them by blood or marriage.

Licensing determined Pennie Koop was operating an unlicensed facility in contravention of the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA).

The following contravention was cited:
- Community Care Assisted Living Act section 5(a) Operating or advertising without a licence

The operator is required to immediately reduce the number of children in care to no more than two children or one sibling group unrelated to them. The operator has submitted confirmation the number of children in care has been reduced. The Licensing Officer will conduct a follow up inspection to confirm ongoing compliance.
