Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1) Bleach sanitizer was too strong -test strips were getting whited out. Operator was adding 2 lids (40mL) bleach per 1 L of water.
2) 3-compartment sinks do not have plugs. Operator is using cloth to plug the drains.
3) Reusable plates and cups found in dry storage. There is no commercial dishwasher in the facility.
Corrective Action(s): 1) Operator made a fresh bleach solution at the time of inspection. 5 mL of bleach is required for 1 L of water. Use a measuring spoon and obtain test strips.
2) Obtain drain plugs. Date to be corrected by: Sept 7, 2022
3) Do not use reusable plates and cups. You are approved for only washing cooking utensils with the 3-compartment sink.

Observation: 1) Mice droppings were observed near the back of the facility, around the hot water tank and under shelves.
2) Flies noted around garbage bins and kitchen area.
Corrective Action(s): Clean up the mouse droppings to monitor pest activity around the facility.
Report fly activity to the pest control company and follow through with their recommendations. Garbage bins should be kept covered.

Coolers are maintaining 4 degrees Celsius or less.
Freezers are functional.
NOTE: maintain temperature logs to document temperatures of all cooling units.

Sanitation:
Hand sink is equipped with hot and cold running water, liquid soap, and disposable paper towels.
NOTE: it is recommended that the facility be deep cleaned to prevent build up of food debris in hard to reach areas and limit attracting pests.

Operator claims to have Food Safe level 1 certification but copy is not available on site. Operator to email a copy to the inspector.
Facility is monitored by a professional pest control company every week.
